I am thinking the same room because it's the best structurally. In looking at the pictures from the earthquake(or should I say earthquakes, they have had over 100 after shocks...) either the entire building is down or the whole front of it is gone.

WOW. Now you got me thinking of things I need to be doing around here. I don't think I am totally prepared either Renata.

Do you have a window-less room in your home that you could store the suitcase in? That is where they always tell you to go in natural disasters...just thinkin. Good luck.

I am getting there on the layout Reyna. Still quite a few changes to make.
Like adding my logo?!?!

Thanks for sharing what you do. I don't have a basement and don't know if the lower garage is an option for earthquakes and volcanoes. (not like the volcano eruption is likely...)

I LOVE THE NEW LAYOUT over here. I had to do a "double take" to make sure I was at the right location - LOL.

I keep supplies in a Red bag (like the one on todays post - Diabetes in the Classroom). In it I keep sugar sources, snacks, battery for the glucometer, and insulin vial. I keep the bag in the basement (in our storage room)...where all of Joe's D-supplies are located (sets, cartridges, syringes, test strips, etc). There are canned goods down there and H2O.

Hi Reyna, I actually felt really guilty when I was reading the post about me on D-mom. He does so much because I am just so bad with all of this techcical stuff. Honestly, I don't care enough about it and I should to lighten the load.

Yes, I wanna read about your Dave!

OMG...MIKE is a doll! You know Renatta I think I personally leave Dave out of most of my blogging or I make references to him once in a while b/c I am not sure he would want to be tied to me and my antics. I am sooo gonna ask him if I may do a post about him. GREAT IDEA...and GREAT POST in honor OF YOUR MAIN SQUEEZE MIKE!!!

Hi Renata, I just discovered your blog, and I have to tell you that this post really resonated with me. I totally agree! I have a seven-year-old son with T1D, as well as two non-D kiddos, ages 5 and 8. I treat all three kids the same. They all get the fun sugary stuff (candy, cupcakes, ice cream, etc.) in moderation. I strive for balance. I hope I'm teaching them all healthy habits, not just my son with D.
